Fishing Report for the week of 12/08/07 - 12/14/07 Cold weather and a slow bite has kept a lot of people off the water,
however if you do get out and find the right place (where a lot are
bunched up) you can have a great day. The trick is just keep on looking
and hope you do. If not you should enjoy catching between 6 to 15 bass
for a 5 to 6 hour trip. Minnows last week put the biggest bass in the
boat, a chunky 10.1 lber caught by a fishin' buddy of mine. Clients
have been catching bass to 4 pounds in the north end and to 7¾ pounds
in mid lake with drop-shot, jigs and swimbaits. The 7¾ came out of 21' of water on a Persuader jig. Dress warm have fun and keep a "Tight-Line" Richard Click HERE & HERE for recent photos. Fishing Report for the week
of 12/01/07 - 12/07/07 The bite is about the same as it has been for the last few weeks
with a variety of lures working: swimbaits, drop-shot and jigs but the minnow
bite is the best for numbers. Fish are in water from 4' to 20' from mid lake
south and with the water temp around 50 degrees you have to fish very slow.. Good Luck
out there.. Richard
Fishing Report for the week
of 11/24/07 - 11/30/07 Cool cool mornings, very nice days and the bite is still rated as
good but has slowed down using lures so if you want to catch a lot of
bass go with minnows. Lures that seem to be doing the best are:
drop-shot, rip baits and lipless crank baits fished very slow (water
temp around 50 to 54 degrees). Most of the bass this week came out of
water just 4 to 6 feet deep from State Park to mid lake. "Happy
Fishin".. Richard
Fishing Report for the week
of 11/16/07 - 11/23/07 Cold
mornings, beautiful sunny days and the bass are biting, what more could
you wish for..? A variety of lures have been working from soft plastics
to deep diving crank baits. Clients did very good this past week
averageing over 50 fish per outing (4 to 5 hours) using drop-shot, jigs
& crankbaits, however most were caught on minnows from mid lake
south in water from 4' to 12'. "Hope you-all had a
great Thanksgiving!
Richard Fishing Report for the week
of 11/3/07 - 11/9/07 Looks as though the last big tournament of the year
is taking place this weekend starting today (150 boats). With some rain
coming tonight the bite for the next few weeks should be very good. Clients this
week had a few tough days and one very good day. Most were caught on drop-shot
and jigs from mid lake south. There are some reports that swimbaits have been
working very good if you are in the right place, catching bass to 14 pounds!
Have fun out there and hope to see you on the water.. "Tight-Lines".
Richard Fishing Report for the week
of 10/20/07 - 11/2/07 Indian Summer has got the bass bite up and a lot of
fish are chasing bait fish all over the lake (shad & silver-sides) however
they are hard to catch but if you keep at it your catch for the day should be in
the 20's. The FLW was a huge success last week and for more on this go to: www.flwoutdoors.com . I took off 7 days to
keep out of their way so I only got out a few days before and after the
tournament. Clients did good considering the amount of pressure, they averaged
over 20 bass per trip with bass to over 4 pounds. Most were caught on a
carolina-rig using a baby-brush-hog in watermelon-candy and a Persuader jig in
orange/brown in water from 2' to 15' mid lake and south. A variety of lures have been
working for the tourney guys & gals with the swimbait being the best for bass
over 10 pounds, so go and try and good luck!! "Tight-Lines".
Richard
Fishing Report for the week
of 10/13/07 - 10/19/07 The fall bite has not arrived in force however there
have been some bass caught on crank & spinnerbaits, mostly in the south end of the lake.
Clients this week did good on jigs & dropshot on rockpiles in water from 5'
to 25'. Starting on Saturday the lake will be full of pre fishers for the upcoming
F.L.W. Tournament (200 boats) which starts on Wednesday October 24th thru the 27th, so you may want
to think about staying away and come up the next week.. "Tight-Lines"
Richard Click HERE for recent photos. Fishing Report for the week
of 10/06/07 - 10/12/07Weather-or-not, the bass bite has
been
good however the larger bass have been hard to find. Clients did good
the first part of this week catching a lot of bass from 3 to 4 pounds,
mostly on jigs & dropshot. The north end is starting to come
alive
because the weeds are starting to die. This rain we are now having
should start the bigger fish moving more to shallow water as the Fall
season is starting up so you may want to start throwing some lipless
crankbaits around weeds and shallow water. Good Luck out there and

Fishing Report for the week
of 9/29/07 - 10/05/07 The wind and cold mornings have
pushed the water temperature down to 62 degrees in the
morning with
only a degree or two increasing in the afternoon. And so goes
the bite
which is not all that bad, the problem is finding the larger bass and
how do you do that? Just keep trying a variety of lures in water from
2' to ?. Most of my clients' fish this week came in water around 4 to
15', the better bass were caught from mid lake south although we did do
very well in the north end but they were only running around 2 to 3½
pounds. "Tight-Lines" Richard
Fishing Report for the week
of 9/22/07 - 9/28//07Clients
did ok this week averaging about 14 bass per trip (4 to 6 hours) but no
big ones. This change in the weather has made it hard to find fish in
just one area. The trick is to keep moving and trying
different lures. Dropshot and jigs have been the best
bet fished in water from 2 to 15 feet, try fishin' docks from the front
to the back. The south end has been the best from mid lake
south. Good Luck and "Tight-Lines" Richard

of 9/15/07 - 9/21//07
- It's
been an up and down week with the weather and the fishin' has slowed
down somewhat. Clients this week caught their fish on a variety of
lures. Jigs & dropshot accounted for the most and largest and a
few
bass were caught on a white fluke . Had one good day in the north end
catching a lot of bass but the biggest was only around 4 pounds. Mid
lake and south is still your best bet for larger
fish.

Clients this
week had good fishin' on the drop shot & fluke's for the first
part of the week. Friday Clients from Canada & Santa Barbara
caught a lot of quality bass to 9.1 pounds using jigs, top water
poppers, flukes and drop shot. All of the fish were caught from mid
lake south in the Redbud arm in water from 2' to 13'. Your best bet is
just to keep on moving and try a variety of lures on each stop
and with a little luck (as we did Friday) you may hit the hot
spot! "Tight-Lines"

Report for the weeks of
8/18/07 - 8/31/07

It was a slow bite last week and
this week it was even slower.. The hot weather and weed
growth has the bass all over the place. Drop shot is still the best way
to go. Top water is very iffy with the early morning being the best
time. Try finding off shore weeds that may hold bass, the trick is
finding which weeds have bass in them. Mid lake and south is your best
bet.. "Tight Lines' Richard

Fishing Report for the week of
8/11/07 - 8/17/07 Cold and windy nights and
mornings
have slowed the bite and the larger bass have been hard to find,
clients this week did have some big ones on but they came off...The top
water bite has all but disappeared with just a few bass being caught.
Water temperature has dropped down to 73 degrees from as high
as 80 last
week. Dropshot & jigs have been the most productive from State
Park
south. "Tight-Lines"
Richard
Fishing Report for the week of 8/4/07 -
8/10/07 Clients
this week did very good on topwater poppers & buzzbaits, the
best bite is just before sun up, however after the sun gets high start
looking for weeds and docks with shade. The dropshot
is your best bet for putting bass in the boat.
Location is the same as last week's report and so is the
fishin'' Have fun & "Tight-Lines" Richard
Fishing Report for the week of 7/28/07 -
8/3/07 If you like fishin' weeds, we got-em!
From State Park to the north end of Lakeport there are weeds as far out
as 5 to 600' off shore. However there are not a lot of mats,
most are just under the surface so the frog fishin' is not as
good as it should be. Try buzzbaits, spooks or spinnerbaits
around the edges and over the top.. Dropshot, jigs &
Senkos are also working. Hope to see-u on the
water.. "Tight-Lines" Richard
Fishing Report for
the week of 7/20/07 - 7/27/07 Let's go
fishin'! Bass fishing this week has for the most part been very good,
with just about every thing working from top water baits to
jigs & dropshot as deep as
35'. Clients this week caught fish from
mid lake to Redbud. The north end around Lakeport to
State Park has a lot of weeds, even out as far as 3 to 500 yards and
they are holding bass, try frogs on top of them and Senkos or dropshot
on the edges and just keep moving until you find which patch has the
bass on them. Have fun!! Richard
Fishing Report for the week of
7/07/07 - 7/13/07 Top
water action has been great and it's not just in the morning but most
of the day. After the sun gets up look for shade either from trees or
banks and of course under docks. Super Spook's have been the
best for my clients, buzzbaits & Rico's
are also working. If you are not into fishin'
top-water just about everything else is working from the north to the
southend of the lake...

Richard Fishing Report for the week of
6/30/07 - 7/06/07 The
weather is hot and so is the bite! Clients this week were catching bass
on buzzbaits, frogs and "dropshot" which is the "go to" bait
anywhere on the lake in water from 2' to 35'. Most trips were
short because of the heat (4hrs) however they were catching from 24 to
40 bass ranging to over 5 pounds for their morning fishin'. Drink
lot's of water! "Tight-Lines" Richard
Fishing
Report for the week of 6/23/07 - 6/29/07 Clients
this week had fun catching a lot of bass on a variety of baits, mostly
drop-shot, which is what the 7 lber came on. The top water
bite
is on and it's not just in the morning or late it's all day. Buzz
&
spinnerbaits caught over 30 bass to 5.8 pounds plus a few on frogs and
super spooks, also swimmbaits. Most
of the bass this week came from State Park to Rattlesnake Island. Rock
piles and tules have been producing in water from 2' to 20'. Good Luck
and enjoy... Richard
Fishing
Report for the week of 6/16/07 - 6/22/07 Not
much has changed from last week's report. A variety of lures
are
still working with the drop-shot being your best bet for numbers and
also for some big bass. Big bass this week was caught on a drop-shot in
7' of water a nice 8¾ lber plus some over 5 pounds. Fishin'
the
north end to mid lake this week has been the best. "Tight-Lines".
Richard Fishing
Report for the week of 6/09/07 - 6/15/07 Fishin' this week has been very good
with clients catching around 200 bass, most were caught on the
drop-shot with either a brush-hog or 6' robo worm. Clients also caught
fish on a variety of lures: buzzbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits and top
water. Early morning has been the best, however if you get on the right
spot later into the day fishing is still good, it's just finding the
right place that's hard... Both the north and south ends are productive
with bass being caught from 30' to 2'. Fishing Report for the week of
6/02/07 - 6/08/07 The
bite slowed down with the wind and cool weather we had the last few
days, however look for things to improve with the warming weather.
Clients this week did very good on drop shot and spinnerbaits catching
bass from 3+ to over 5 pounds. Tules, docks and rock piles are holding
a lot of fish in both the north and southends. Have a great weekend and
catch a lot of fish. "Tight Lines" Richard
